My Story

Hi, I'm Arnold.

Hobby photographer from Halle (Saale)

By day, I'm a web developer and old-school SEO expert. Photography gives me balance — a creative counterweight to my hectic workdays. I shoot street, architecture, and experimental portraits.

Everything I know about photography, I learned from my brother and mentor Wolf Wender .

Equipment

My Cameras and Lenses

I shoot with two systems: the compact Fujifilm X-System (X-E5, X-H2) for the street and a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and 5DS R for architecture and landscapes. Plus fast primes like the XF 23mm f/1.4 and XF 56mm f/1.2 as well as the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II.

Post-processing happens in Adobe Lightroom Classic and Capture One — subtle and natural, never overdone. A solid tripod, ND filters for long exposures, and a remote shutter round out the kit.

Philosophy

My Photographic Approach

01

Authenticity

No staged scenes, no over-editing — my photos show Halle as I see and experience the city.

02

Patience

The perfect light, the right moment, the special perspective — good photography takes time and the willingness to come back.

03

Passion

Photography is not a profession, it is a passion. Every walk through Halle is an opportunity for new discoveries.

04

Sharing

Photos do not belong on a hard drive — they should be seen. This website is my way of sharing the beauty of Halle with the world.
