## Commitment

Halle.Online is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all
users, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet WCAG 2.1
Level AA standards and comply with BFSG 2025 (Barrierefreiheits-
stärkungsgesetz).

## What We Do

- Color contrast meets 4.5:1 (text) and 3:1 (large text) minimums
- All interactive elements are keyboard navigable
- Touch targets are at least 44×44px (48×48px on mobile)
- Every image has descriptive alt text
- Skip-to-content link on every page
- Semantic HTML5 with proper heading hierarchy
- ARIA labels on elements without visible text
- Animations respect prefers-reduced-motion
- No auto-playing media
- Dark theme optimized for reduced eye strain

## Known Limitations

- Photo lightbox keyboard shortcuts (arrow keys) — in progress
- Some complex data tables may need improved screen reader support
